Our school is an all-day school and has been cooperating with the Technische Jugendfreizeit- und Bildungsgesellschaft (tjfbg) gGmbH since its foundation in order to make a diverse and all-day learning possible.
The colleagues in the social education department focus their attention mainly on the social-emotional development of the students.
Each class is assigned a member of our multi-professional team who are on site every day for the students - and their families - in close cooperation with the teachers.
We see ourselves as contact persons and advisors to the children. We talk to them about their everyday life, talk to them about the issues that concern them and answer questions. We stand by them in a protected and trustful framework of communication, for personal concerns or private worries and needs.
We help them and support them in resolving conflicts. We see our role as mediators. The focus is not on clarifying the question of guilt, but rather on illuminating the background to the dispute. With our help, the students work out a solution together with which everyone can agree. We perceive conflicts as an opportunity to grow.
We encourage the independent and active use of free time and thus promote the ability to spend leisure time independently. We create space for the discovery of our own abilities, skills, interests and wishes. We provide suggestions and impulses in the sporting, playful, creative or musical fields by offering the pupils open offers in various fields of employment. In the school day, we create opportunities for joint action, encounters and exchanges within the class, but also across classes and years.
Through the targeted promotion of personal and social skills in "social learning", students should be enabled to deal appropriately with themselves and others in situations of togetherness. This means competences that enable one to act appropriately in a "we" structure. These include, for example, empathy, communication, teamwork, cooperation and conflict management skills.
It is important to us to include the suggestions, wishes and interests of the children and to let them have a say in the process (participation) as well as to promote their independence and independence and to encourage them to take on responsibility.
The team of the social education department is responsible for the design of the subject "Social Learning" (SL), the full-time hours (GT) and the lunch band (Lunch) during school hours. Furthermore, we support the teachers in class, on excursions or during excursions. We look after the children before 07h00 (early duty) and after 16h00 (late duty) as well as during holidays.
If you need care for your child outside regular school hours (from 07h30 to 16h00 or during the holiday season, you can book one of three care modules:
a) Early care + holiday care from 06h00 to 07h30 during school hours, including holiday care from 06h00 to 16h00
